Our people take their responsibility for safety seriously, leading by example and taking actions to ensure our operations are incident free. Where necessary they will stop the job and challenge anyone they see acting in an unsafe way.
Effective operations are also safe operations. Both are good for our commercial success. Doing things the right way, even when nobody is watching, is part of our culture and is reinforced by our focus on behavioural safety. Conducting open and honest investigations when things go wrong is a vital part of making sure we learn and get better. Recognising when things go well and sharing this best practice is an important part of achieving excellence and consistent results across the whole company.
Our leaders make sure there is integrity throughout our operations and that we have the right people, the right equipment which is maintained correctly and the right materials in the right place at the right time to achieve it. We all have a part to play in achieving that plan and if we do then we can operate safely and without incidents. There should be no unpleasant surprises on any of our operations.
